Ventilated building façade

Marmoroc Arctix Protect

Marmoroc façade system

The technology has been in use since 1970 and holds Sweden’s oldest type approval, Sitac No. 1356/70. The system is now also European-approved (ETA 16/0847) and is approved for use on buildings up to 100 metres in height.

From its launch in 1970, the product was known as Coloroc. In the mid-1980s, the name was changed to Marmoroc as the product was developed and enhanced with crushed marble. The concrete blocks are lightweight screen bricks and are easy to install.

Behind the blocks is our tried-and-tested air gap, which ventilates the façade and keeps the wall and insulation dry and in good condition.

Today, Marmoroc is a broader concept encompassing products and technology; the concrete block is now known as Arctix.

Arctix ventilated stone cladding

Arctix stone is frost-resistant and made from white cement, white marble and colour pigments. The stone is hooked onto vertical profiles of hot-dip galvanised steel sheet with a locking mechanism.

Between the stone and the wall behind it is a 20 mm ventilated air gap, which keeps the wall dry and in good condition.

In the event of damage, individual stones can be easily replaced.

A solution for damaged façades

It is not uncommon for the Marmoroc system to have been used to restore damp-damaged brick, render and timber façades, even on brand-new buildings. Please contact us if you have a problem and would like assistance.

Air-ventilated building façade

An animation showing how our ventilated façade system is installed and works. In this example, extra insulation is fitted on the outside of an existing wall, a choice many people make to improve their home.

The system can be fitted with additional insulation, which improves the building’s cost-effectiveness by reducing energy costs.

The same ventilated technology and insulation support systems can be used with all our products.

Perhaps you’re tired of the constant maintenance and repainting of your timber façade, and would like a low-maintenance façade?
